CHICKEN TANDOORI MASALA / AYAM TANDOORI MASALA





Chicken Tandoori Masala

Ingredients

1 chicken cut into 12
2 potatoes cut into wedges

Marinating ingredients

1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon garam masala
2 tablespoons yogurt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon chilli powder

For the sauce

1 onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, sliced
3 tablespoons yogurt
1 teaspoon homemade ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon homemade blended chilli paste
1 tablespoon homemade multipurpose paste
1 small can of peas
1 tablespoon plum sauce
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon chilli powder
3 tablespoons garam masala

Methods

  1. Marinate the chicken with the marinating ingredients for at least 1 hour.
  2. Grilled marinated chicken until cooked.
  3. Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add ginger-garlic paste, multipurpose paste, chilli paste and plum sauce. Mix well.
  5. Add coriander powder, cumin powder, chilli powder and garam masala, fry until oil separated.
  6. Add yogurt and mix well. Put a little water.
  7. Put the potatoes and let stand until tender.
  8. Add salt and sugar to taste.
  9. Once boiled, add peas and grilled chicken and mix well.
  10. Ready to be served with steamed rice or cheese nan.
Ayam Tandoori Masala

Bahan-bahan

1 ekor ayam dipotong 12
2 biji kentang dipotong wedges

Bahan perapan

1 sudu teh garam
1 sudu besar kunyit serbuk
1 sudu besar garam masala
2 sudu besar yogurt
1 sudu besar gula
1 sudu besar minyak zaiton
1 sudu teh cili serbuk

Untuk sos

1 bawang besar dimayang
2 ulas bawang putih dimayang
3 sudu besar yogurt
1 sudu teh pes halia-bawang putih buatan sendiri
1 sudu besar pes cili kisar buatan sendiri
1 sudu besar pes pelbagai guna buatan sendiri
1 tin kecil kacang peas
1 sudu besar sos plum
1 sudu teh serbuk ketumbar
1 sudu teh serbuk jintan manis
1 sudu teh serbuk cili
3 sudu besar garam masala

Langkah-langkah

  1. Perap ayam dengan bahan perapan sekurang-kurang 1 jam.
  2. Bakar ayam yang telah diperap sehingga masak.
  3. Tumis bawang besar dan bawang putih sehingga naik bau.
  4. Masukkan pes halia bawang putih, pes pelbagai guna, pes kisaran cili dan sos plum. Gaul rata. 
  5. Masukkan serbuk ketumbar, serbuk jintan manis, serbuk cili dan garam masala, tumis sehingga pecah minyak.
  6. Masukkan yogurt dan gaul sebati. Masukkan sedikit air.
  7. Masukkan kentang dan dibiarkan sehingga empuk.
  8. Perisakan dengan garam dan gula.
  9. Setelah mendidih, masukkan kacang peas dan ayam yang telah dibakar dan digaul rata.
  10. Siap untuk dihidang.
